We have such a great reason to rejoice! Praise the one who is worthy.

I've been praying for two of my friends who are in the Middle East and wondering at the things in store for the future. I am especially excited about servant leading Prayer Vigils for the Link, and the next one is January 9th, where we will be lifting up the soon-commencing Perspectives Classes.

II Timothy 2:14-15
14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

Hold Fast

What does it mean, to hold on to the crown, so that no may steal it?

I just made a video and you should check it out (it's called An Important Rap on Africa... look to the left). It was birthed out of a desire to glorify God and tune our hearts to seek his face, to make decisions that honor him whether we are rich or poor...

"Amen"

Revelation 3:14 (ESV)

" 'And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: "The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation." ' " [And then Jesus reprimands the church for being of no use to him]



What does "Amen" mean? I want to know! I say it at least 3 times a day! And Jesus is the ultimate Amen. That's one of his characteristics.



2 Corinthians 1:20 (ESV)

"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory."



We can be confident in this: God is our rock, our stronghold, and we can trust him!

What Does God Require?

If you were going to commit to something, you would want to know what the conditions are. If we are to commit our lives to God, of course we should desire to know what HE wants from us... right?

Today as I was reading my Bible I came across Psalm 145:18 which led me to John 4:23-24.
Here, we learn what God requires of us.

But what does it mean? How can we interpret this scripture, in context, by other scripture, to determine what GOD is really saying?

That's what I want to know! Maybe I'll figure it out and post my answer!

Thoughts on TheCall California and What I could do

Man, God is so good, that he has created this whole world to share his goodness with his children. But all is not well on planet earth. The people he created turned their back on him. But good news! He planned a rescue mission to earth to win back his children...

And he invites us to be a part of it.

So here's what I'll do-

-Act in a manner worthy of my calling ~Semper Honarabilis~ to please my Father
-Join with other brothers and sisters in worship and prayer, that God would have a willing vessel in me, Joseph, for the advancement of his desire!

My College group called The_Link has prayer meetings once in a while on friday nights
An organization called The Burn comes through every once in a while...

I pray God unites Fayetteville Arkansas to unite, seek, knock, and Love! and I think it's happenning already! John 15 fruitfulness is amongst us!
