Prayer Concerts

So many new questions!

Lord, how may I use my giftings for your glory?

It's clear you want me to wait on you! Your face, Lord, will I seek!

Vision for Uganda

Goals for our Team:

-That the kids see good relationships from us!
(will require time spent, communication, a commitment to openness with each other, and shared fun!

-That the kids develop solid foundations in the word!
](Romans 12:1-2, Lead me to the Rock!, accountability w/ eachother)

-Standard/Vision/Blessing for our MA's!
(show them what a mentor relationship is like! Make a planner for them, include fun things, helps them be solid and developed)

TEAM VISION: That the team would KNOW the Word, KNOW what God requires of them, that their hearts would be open to growth, roots removed, that they might be an established, God-centered temple for his Holy Spirit to dwell! An official franchised location of living water! Kay-En-Oh-Doobya!

They Loved Not Their Lives

"Thank you Lord for every time you've spoken to me through your word, your people, your elaborate creation. Thank you that you've called me with a specific Holy calling and that I am not better then any other of my brothers and sisters! You are a Lamb, humble and even pet-able, and a magnificent Lion who is worthy of fear and respect!"

And now for my audience: I am very excited about my journey of prayer, taking me far away from complacency into the presence of the Holy and Incompressable God. Lately I've been growing in the realization that God has given me this time on earth to attempt great things for him, and a menu from which to wisely choose how to Honor him. Signing up for fall classes at the U of A, preparing for Uganda, starting work at Chick-fil-A, and growing with my Link LEAD buddies have all been opportunities to worship God with boldness and humility.

"Don't hide your face from me Lord... thy face will I seek." Here am I, a weak person, managing talents of tremendous value, unknowingly walking with divine power. I need wisdom so much! Prayers! Strength from on high!

Well, from broad to specific, I'm planning on camping out at my church from May 21st to 31st, praying and fea-asting! What an opportunity for wilderness dependence on my Shepherd, especially as God attracts other people to this event. I really don't know much about leadership or people management, but I DO know that I want to invest my life into prayer and God's people... so as HE is, may I BE.

.-I Acceleration!

Yes Lord!

That phrase propels us into glory.

From Gee-Lory to the G-Lordy!

I went to the ramp this weekend and it was TIGHT! How glorious!

Here are some things that I learned experientially:

1. I shall turn my back on every other lover, God is my ONLY God. What freedom and purity is found in this place. There is no shame, no chains, only a heart-wrending bliss that leaves you gasping and pressing in for more. And it's almost ironic. The only reason we are able to drink of this love so deep, this communion with our Father, is because he made it happen for us while we still had blood on our hands. That fuels me to just drop everything and GO
2. Every little thing the Ramp people did was excellent. From promoting resources to enthralling dances, they truly presented a sacrifice of praise to God
3. The Ramp had no cost for it's attendees or webcast viewers
4. In God's presence are the high trills of his Joy and Holyness and the deep throbbing of heart-breaking anguish for his justice and warfare
5. War has no budget, and we are the soldiers. Joseph Gerke will run his race and worship in Spirit and in Truth
6. We are not called to outshine God. In fact if we are trying to this is a grievous mistake. We aren't trying to manage God, we are breaking ourselves at his feet
7. The Ramp wants to equip all Christians with tools to SUSTAIN their growth. How awesome. In our immaturity we feel mountain-top feelings without ever plowing our fields to get real solid results. Abide.
8. There's power in linking up with people like the Ramp... so many others had been there many times, and had grown and blossomed because of it
9. They encouraged us to only listen to music that inclines your heart to God, and always be soaking in an environment of the Word of God
10. The Leadership of the Ramp was always on stage, but they traded off doing different things... preaching, leading worship, making announcements, receiving offering, or dancing before the Lord. It was cool and levitical in a good sense of the word

Well this weekend I asked God for a building on dickson street and invested in some worship CDs to play in that building. And the prayer that arose within me was "Lord, give us a Foundation." I realize that prayer and the Word is my personal foundation for whatever I must do, but I feel that corporate prayer is of the utmost importance for the whole body of Christ. So this is my prayer, that the whole body of Christ commits itself to regular prayer and fasting and seeking God's face as the foundation. Only then we can we think about what kind of building to build and programs to have and other stuff like that.

New Wine!

On sale now! Greatest deal in town! Don't leave home with out it!

No seriously, I have the honor and privilege of starting a prayer meeting today that will meet every other friday till the summer time. I believe God will unite us together as we seek him and humble ourselves before him. I am excited and nervous, it's time for new mind sets and new structure. This calls for me to live the adventure, to go in with an open heart to see what God might want to do. Who knows?

I'm excited

Yay!

Yay for Calculus! Yay for burn! And yay for being able to use the word yay! It's okay for guys to be excited and emotional. It's not okay for anyone to be unsober, for all of us can get carried away and hurt other people. But I will say yay for I desire to please God with my heart!

So far no building, but God keeps uniting me with people who want to pray! I even get to pray for Perspectives speakers when they come to town, a very humbling thing. Yay.
